We are the NMRA – Rocky Mountain Region – Division 07 – “Roadrunners”

Welcome to the Southwest Model Railroaders website, more appropriately known as Roadrunners – Division 07. As a part of the Rocky Mountain region of the NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) of model railroaders, we have a deep appreciation for the rich history of the Southwest United States region and its contributions to the development of railroading. From the transcontinental railroad to the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, the Southwest has played a pivotal role in shaping the rail industry. Our passion for model railroading allows us to pay homage to this history while also bringing people together from all walks of life.

Our Clubs and Associations are where hobbyists of all ages can come together and share their love for model railroading. We offer a welcoming and inclusive environment where members can learn from one another, showcase their skills and creativity, and simply enjoy the camaraderie of fellow model railroad enthusiasts. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or new to the hobby, we have something for everyone. Our members pride themselves on promoting the joy of model railroading and preserving the culture of the southern New Mexico and northwest Texas region.

We are proud to be a part of the Rocky Mountain region of model railroaders and are developing close relationships with other clubs in the area. Currently, we have three clubs within our division, each with their unique focus and interests. Our partnerships allow us to share resources, ideas, and host exciting events that bring model railroaders from all over the region together. We invite you to explore our website, learn more about our club’s and their members, and consider joining us as we continue to promote the wonderful hobby of model railroading.
